SwitchBuddy adds deals listing, prices, and more

After months of backend work, the Nintendo Switch companion app can show game prices and current deals. Plus, there is a new discovery option for games.

Deals

Nintendo Switch gamers can save money on games with SwitchBuddy version 3.2.0. The newly added "Deals" section lists all currently available sales on the Nintendo eShop. The app also shows the percentual discount, old price, and when the sale ends.

The deals list can be sorted by newest, ending soon, and biggest sale. Like other parts of the app, the new feature is available to all users, but only the Plus subscribers can see all the current deals. Free users can, however, still view more than 100 deals and visit the app regularly to see the newest discounts.

Prices

In addition to the new "Deals" section, almost all games now also show prices on the game detail, and the eShop can be visited with a single click.

Due to technical limitations, the new eShop-related features are supported in North America and Europe. SwitchBuddy shows the user's country currency.

Game listings by game mode

Version 3.2.0 also brought a new option for discovering games. Users can now browse all available games by game mode (Singleplayer, Split-screen, and more), which is most helpful in finding new games that support Co-op or Split-screen modes to play locally with family or friends.

Availability

The new update is officially available starting May 10 from the App Store. It uses phase release for gradual rollout.
