GamingBuddy adds Smart Lists, stats and Liquid Glass support in latest update

The latest update adds a flexible, powerful way to organize games further, stats for a high-level overview of the game collection, and Liquid Glass support.

Smart Lists

Gamers with lots of titles in their collection can now create “Smart Lists” to organize their games even better. Smart lists allow to define criteria for games to be included and then automatically show and update relevant games.

This can be as simple as having a dedicated backlog list for Nintendo Switch 2 games or as complex as combining multiple custom tags with platforms and ratings filter. When selecting tags, users can choose whether the included games must have all tags or any tags, for even greater flexibility.

Stats and insights

The new section provides a fun and useful high-level overview of the game collection. For example, there is a breakdown by status and platform, or by completion rate, showing how many of the owned games users have finished.

Other data include the top three games in the Wishlist and Backlog with the longest time, and the Playthroughs section shows which games the user managed to finish fastest and slowest (based on the number of days between “Playing” and “Finished” statuses).

Liquid Glass

Update 4.5.0 also launches with official Liquid Glass support. On iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 the app looks modern and right at home. Liquid Glass support in GamingBuddy includes using the official system components, more rounded corners, and simpler navigation bars.

Availability

GamingBuddy 4.5.0 is available from the App Store; the app requires iOS 16+. GamingBuddy is free to download, and users can track as many games as they want. Advanced features like the newly launched Smart Lists and Stats require a subscription.
