Weathergraph embraces iOS 18 with stunning widgets, adds new forecast sources and quick forecast switcher for outdoor enthusiasts
Weathergraph, the visual weather app beloved by outdoor explorers and adventure seekers, is ready for iOS 18 colorful homescreen, and adds more forecast models.
As iOS 18 launches, Weathergraph adds support for tinted widgets, that seamlessly blend with users' home screen wallpapers. The app also supports the new dark mode and tint mode app icons, allowing runners, hikers, and nature lovers to customize their home screens like never before.
I'm thrilled to add more customization to Weathergraph. Now, whether you're planning a mountain trek or a beach day, Weathergraph's presence on your home screen will be as visually appealing as it is informative.
- Tomas, the app's developer
But Weathergraph doesn't stop at aesthetics. The app introduces two new forecast sources, giving outdoor enthusiasts more options for accurate weather predictions:
- Pirate Weather: An indie-made service utilizing NOAA's HRRR, GFS, and GEFS models, perfect for those who prefer community-driven forecasting.
- NWS (National Weather Service): The United States federal government agency known for its reliable forecasts across the country.
To complement these additions, Weathergraph introduces a handy forecast switcher. This new tool allows adventure seekers to quickly toggle between six available forecast services, providing a comprehensive view of weather conditions from multiple perspectives.
Whether you're a trail runner checking different forecasts for your route or a photographer planning the perfect sunrise shoot, the new forecast switcher ensures you have all the information you need at your fingertips
The visuals are also improved by Weathergraph's recently introduced Skylight backgrounds and Sun Glow features. Skylight backgrounds mimic the current sky conditions, turning the app into a virtual window to the outdoors. The Sun Glow feature highlights sunny periods in the forecast chart, helping to know when to look forward to a sunny day (and look for the sunscreen).
With these enhancements, Weathergraph continues to be the go-to weather app for everyone who yearns for the outdoors. Whether you're a cyclist planning your next ride, a camper preparing for a weekend getaway, or a beach enthusiast looking for the perfect sunbathing day, Weathergraph now offers more ways to stay informed and connected to the elements.
