Weathergraph introduces Rainbow.ai nowcast for precise rain predictions, refreshed with iOS 26 Liquid Glass design
Weathergraph, the visual weather app trusted by outdoor enthusiasts from trail runners to mountaineers, launches a major accuracy upgrade with its new Rainbow.ai nowcast source alongside a refreshed interface crafted for iOS 26’s Liquid Glass.
Hyper-local precision with Rainbow.ai
Rainbow.ai nowcast delivers real-time, short-range precipitation forecasts using advanced radar processing and machine learning. It excels at catching passing showers, fast-moving cells, and micro-scale weather patterns that traditional models often miss.
"I tested Rainbow.ai throughout a three-week trip across the Balkans — from mountain trails to coastal towns. It performed reliably everywhere I went, consistently predicting rain showers with around 10-minute precision," says Tomas, developer of Weathergraph. "This is exactly the kind of trustworthy, actionable nowcast the adventurous users of Weathergraph asked for."
With Rainbow.ai joining HRRR, ECMWF, GFS, and other models, Weathergraph now provides its most complete multi-source forecast lineup to date.
Nowcast on your homescreen
Large and medium homescreen widgets can now display the nowcast chart directly on the homescreen — giving users immediate insight into incoming showers without opening the app. This makes Weathergraph’s short-range predictions more accessible, especially during rapidly changing weather.
A new Liquid Glass look for iOS 26
The update embraces iOS 26’s Liquid Glass design language, introducing:
- glass mode widgets that blend seamlessly with wallpapers
- color-on-glass charts - unique look with full color charts on glass homescreen
- new weather tooltip for reading full details of forecast at a given time - just long press the chart
- thumb-friendly bottom navigation
- a cleaner, roomier layout focused on forecast readability
Charts shine through subtle transparency layers, giving Weathergraph a fluid, contemporary look while preserving its signature timeline style.
Built for reliability
The widget engine has been rebuilt for reliability, ensuring forecasts refresh promptly on both iPhone and Apple Watch. Controls and interaction flows have been reorganized for quicker access, and the app feels smoother and more responsive throughout.
Ready for every adventure
Whether you’re timing a run between showers, planning a hike, or looking for a break in the clouds, Weathergraph with Rainbow.ai nowcast gives you sharper insight into the next hour — helping you make the most of every outdoor moment.
The update version is available now on the App Store.
