McClockface is based on the retro flip clock design from back in the day. It uses SwiftUI to create silky-smooth digit flip animations that provide a simple-yet-beautiful design that’s perfect for a nightstand or whilst charging your iPhone or iPad.

But it’s not really about the app itself. McClockface was designed first and foremost with iOS widgets in mind. The app package comes with a variety of playful clock and watch designs that display the current date and time, as well as annual and day progress trackers, at just a glance on your home screen. Times in different time zones can be displayed and colors can be customized.

Hi 👋 I am David Steppenbeck, originally from the UK.

I have been developing iOS and Mac apps with Xcode for over 5 years, which started as a hobby when I worked in Japan.

McClockface was created when Apple announced widgets for iOS 14. I imagined that having some funky timepeice widgets on my home screen would be a standout use case.
