An indie developer story

I’m Ed, an indie developer from Belgium. I’m a self-taught iOS developer since 2015. In 2018, I shipped YT Tracker (my first successful app) with a basic YouTube Monetization Tracker and a few months later I was able to quit my job at Google and fully committed to making a living on the AppStore. It was the best decision of my entire life. I love that this business allows me to pour my creativity into products people get to use every day while allowing me to work from anywhere and being there for my family any time.

SocialWidget's initial idea came from my previous work on social media platforms. It came to me naturally as widgets truly changed the iPhone when iOS14 was launched. I wanted this app for myself and I decided to scratch my own itch and learn how to build widgets Apps with SwiftUI.
