Why did I create this?
I created Shelf to make use of the free space on my Lock Screen.
Thanks to the unique benefits of Live Activities and the Dynamic Island, I can also now do this while using other apps.
I'm big on daily affirmations and maintaining a positive mindset to remain productive during the day, so having them easily viewable while my iPhone 14 Pro sits on my dock is a perfect fit.
I also love seeing photos of loved ones during the day, without having to pick up my phone!
The concept of shelves is extensible, and as a way to scratch my own itch, I am very keen to build out its capabilities with more shelf variations, deeper customisation, and potentially extend it to the iPad and Apple Watch.
