Weather on the Way adds animated future weather radar and cycling, hiking modes.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
With extreme heat waves and Beryl bringing severe weather to US, taking weather into account during vacation planning is especially important. Today, Weather on the Way announces version 1.11 introducing animated future weather radar and new modes for cycling and hiking to help take full advantage of the weather while avoiding dangerous conditions.
Animated Future Radar
While most weather apps only offer a historical radar animation, Weather on the Way focuses on what's ahead. Extending the live radar which shows current precipitation, it now visualizes predictions from NOAA's weather models, showing storm patterns and how they are expected to evolve during travel. High fidelity prediction is available for continental US and parts of Canada for the first 48h, with standard forecast available world wide for up to 7 days. The predicted radar helps users anticipate changes in weather, allowing for safer and more informed travel decisions.

Whether tackling challenging terrains or enjoying a leisurely ride, users can rely on accurate weather predictions to plan their adventures safely and efficiently.
Daylight and UV Index Map
Monitoring UV Index is especially important with record settings heat waves, so the new UV map mode will be especially helpful during summer travel.
Future radar has been one of the most requested features
said Piotr Knapczyk, the developer of Weather on the Way.
By combining weather forecast models with machine learning techniques, the predicted radar helps users intuitively understand the risk of encountering a storm on the road.
