Bluetooth Browser launches on iPhone, iPad and Mac, bringing BLE Web Standards to Apple Devices
The free app lets compatible websites connect to nearby Bluetooth devices, from LEGO projects and sensors to everyday gadgets.
September 19, 2026 — Independent developer Angelo Cammalleri has launched Bluetooth Browser for iPhone, iPad and Mac. The app brings Web Bluetooth support to an Apple-native browser, allowing compatible web apps to communicate with nearby Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices. Users can open a supported device’s web interface and connect from the browser, without installing a separate companion app for every gadget.
Bluetooth Browser is designed for people who build, learn and experiment with connected hardware, as well as anyone whose device already has a web-based companion. Examples include programming compatible LEGO hubs with Pybricks, working with supported Espruino boards, and exploring sensors and other BLE projects. Compatibility depends on the web app and the hardware it supports.
A browser for connected hardware
Alongside Web Bluetooth, Bluetooth Browser provides the tools to keep projects close at hand:
- Tabs and iCloud: keep multiple web apps open and sync tabs and bookmarks across Apple devices.
- Local web projects: open HTML projects from Files, including their relative resources, without setting up a local server.
- Open from other apps: send a website to Bluetooth Browser or save it as a bookmark from the system share sheet.
- Guides and recommendations: discover compatible web tools and examples for maker, sensor and LEGO projects.
