Brand new design for Android! Version 6.0.0 is here.

The biggest update to AppBlock for Android in years is finally here! This update brings a major visual overhaul to the app, with the main goal of improving the user experience and increasing productivity. The new design puts an even greater focus on ease of use and maximizing the benefits of the app in the shortest amount of time possible.

To ensure that the new design would be well-received, we conducted thorough research on the users of the iOS version of AppBlock. The results of this research showed that users were able to quickly understand the app and navigate between its various features, thanks to clear onboarding and intuitive design. This was a significant improvement compared to previous research on Android users, and it was clear that the new design was a major success.

Despite the visual changes, the core features of AppBlock remain unchanged. However, we have simplified the navigation between the main sections of the app by replacing the side menu with a bottom bar menu that divides the main functions into four sections: Blocking, Strict Mode, Statistics, and More.

In the Blocking section, you can manage all of your blocking needs with just a few clicks. The Quick Block button allows you to start blocking immediately, and you can easily see which profiles are active or create new ones with custom automation conditions.

The Strict Mode section is where you can find the major value add that has made AppBlock so popular among its users. This section allows you to easily set Strict Mode levels, duration, and deactivation methods to help you stay focused and avoid distractions.

The Statistics section is where you can track your progress in reducing screen time and identify which apps are taking up the most of your free time. You can then add these apps to your profiles or create new ones based on the stats to better manage your time.

Finally, the More section contains all the other details you need to tailor your user experience, including an overview of new features and the Academy.

This update brings AppBlock closer to a unified design across all platforms (iOS, Android, and Google Chrome extension), which will help us onboard new users more quickly and make a positive impact on the lives of people who struggle with phone addiction, whether it be due to social media, mobile games, or other distractions.
